Privacy Policy

Effective October 14, 2026. This public notice addresses website use and electronic communications, including email, text, voice, video, and visual or digital records.

Scope and who we are

BOLO Health Law, LLC (“BOLO,” “we,” “our,” or the “Firm”) respects the privacy of website visitors, prospective and existing clients, business contacts, and others who communicate with us. This Privacy Policy describes how information is collected, used, disclosed, stored, and protected in connection with bolohealthlaw.com, inquiries, appointments, email, telephone, SMS and MMS, video meetings, online forms, and other Firm-related electronic communications.

An attorney-client engagement is governed additionally by applicable professional responsibility rules, confidentiality and privilege law, and the engagement agreement. If those requirements provide stronger protections, they control. Submission of a website inquiry alone does not create an attorney-client relationship, although information provided during a qualifying prospective-client consultation may be protected under New Jersey Rule of Professional Conduct 1.18.

Categories of information we receive

We may receive: (a) name, contact details, company, professional role, and location; (b) legal issue descriptions, parties involved, relevant jurisdictions, dates and deadlines; (c) documents, photographs, recordings, evidence, employment, financial or regulatory records voluntarily provided; (d) client records and billing or transaction information after engagement; (e) health, disability, insurance or patient-related information when relevant and lawfully provided; (f) emails, texts, voicemail, meeting messages, call logs and permitted recordings; and (g) technical information such as IP address, browser and device information, page visits, timestamps, referral sources, cookie identifiers and security events.

Please limit an initial public-form inquiry to a brief description and relevant deadline. Do not send Social Security numbers, patient-level data, medical records, passwords, bank credentials, trade secrets, or unnecessary privileged documents through the general website form. Ask for an appropriate secure transfer method before providing sensitive records.

Public forms and intake routing

Our consultation form asks for a full name, email address, and brief matter description, and may collect optional phone, organization, deadline, jurisdiction and referral-source details. The website uses Jetpack Forms and Akismet-related anti-spam services. Form responses may be stored in the WordPress/Jetpack Forms system and sent to designated Firm or administrative email inboxes. Spam-protection services may process submitted content and technical data to identify abuse.

We use intake data to respond, identify adverse parties for conflicts checks, assess the type and urgency of a matter, consider availability and suitability, and determine whether to offer a consultation or engagement. Do not rely on the form to preserve legal deadlines.

Purposes of processing

We use information, as appropriate, to communicate with you; screen conflicts; evaluate representation; deliver legal services; maintain matter records; schedule appointments; manage secure collaboration and document exchange; generate invoices; facilitate payments through processors; provide legal updates where authorized; operate and secure the website; prevent fraud or spam; measure lawful advertising and site performance; comply with courts, government obligations and professional rules; and protect the rights of clients and the Firm.

We do not treat an intake submission as an authorization to use confidential client materials for unrelated advertising.

Email and attachments

Email may be used for inquiries, scheduling, ordinary correspondence, billing, file exchange and representation. Email can be misaddressed, intercepted, forwarded, delayed, blocked by spam filters or accessed through compromised or shared accounts. We may use a secure portal or another protected method when the sensitivity of information calls for it. Please tell us if a communication address is shared, employer-managed or potentially accessible by an opposing party.

Sending an email does not guarantee that it is immediately read or that BOLO has undertaken responsibility for any filing, appeal, or deadline.

Text messages and mobile contact information

If you provide a mobile number, we may call or respond by text as reasonably necessary for your inquiry and as permitted by applicable law. With appropriate authorization, text messages may include appointment logistics, return-call requests and routine administrative or matter-related information. Message frequency varies; carrier message and data charges may apply.

Informational correspondence is distinct from advertising. We will seek any legally required separate consent before sending automated or promotional calls or text messages. Consent to marketing texts is not a condition of receiving legal services. You may ask us to stop nonessential texts by contacting us or by replying STOP where supported; contact us for messaging assistance. We do not sell mobile opt-in information or consent records to third parties for their independent marketing. Do not use SMS for urgent filings or unnecessary confidential medical or legal details.

Voice, voicemail and recordings

When you call us or leave voicemail, we may receive the message and associated call information. BOLO does not represent that every telephone call is recorded. If a call or conversation is recorded, we will follow applicable law, including consent and notice requirements that may differ where participants are located in different jurisdictions.

Lawfully created recordings, where any exist, may form part of an appropriate matter or business record and are handled under applicable confidentiality, access and retention obligations.

Video, visual and meeting communications

We may use videoconferencing and digital collaboration tools for consultations, meetings, visual evidence and document review. Depending on the platform and settings, the system may process participant names, account identifiers, chat messages, technical logs, meeting files and shared images.

Recording, automated transcription, AI-generated summaries, or other third-party processing of confidential meetings are not assumed to be authorized simply because a meeting takes place. We evaluate their use under applicable law, professional duties, client instructions, platform arrangements and any required notice or consent.

Healthcare, disability and sensitive information

Because BOLO handles healthcare and regulated-business matters, we may receive protected health information or other highly sensitive material when relevant to an authorized engagement. HIPAA duties, including any required business-associate arrangement, depend on the particular relationship and services. General website contact forms should not be assumed to provide a HIPAA-compliant intake channel.

Information protected by attorney-client privilege, duties of confidentiality, protective orders, contract, or other law receives protections applicable to the circumstances. We encourage use of Firm-approved secure methods for sensitive submissions.

Website technology, cookies and advertising

Our site runs on WordPress and Jetpack and has integrations associated with Google Site Kit and Microsoft Advertising Universal Event Tracking, as well as website security and optimization technology. Depending on actual configuration and browser settings, these technologies may collect or receive device/browser information, cookie identifiers, IP addresses, visits to pages, referring links and interactions used for analytics or advertising measurement. Installation of a plugin does not by itself establish that every optional tracking function is active.

Certain page visits may reveal an interest in legal services. Visitors should avoid entering confidential details in website searches, URL parameters or third-party advertisements. We seek to avoid using confidential intake content and client records as advertising data. Tracking technologies provided by third parties may operate under their own privacy notices. We do not describe a cookie notice alone as a guarantee that all analytics or advertising scripts are blocked until consent.

You can manage cookies through browser settings and, where available, through consent controls on this site. You can also learn more from Automattic, Google, and Microsoft. Where applicable law requires additional choices concerning targeted advertising, consent or opt-outs, we will honor those requirements. Contact us using the details below to request available privacy choices.

When information may be shared

Information may be processed by providers supporting our website, spam filtering, cloud hosting, email, telephone or SMS, scheduling, video meetings, document storage, practice management, billing, electronic signature, security, analytics and advertising. A provider may have access only to information relevant to its role, subject to applicable agreements and safeguards.

Information may also be used or disclosed as authorized by a client or prospect, to appropriately engaged co-counsel or professional service providers, as necessary for representation, to comply with law or process, or where permitted by governing professional obligations. No term here waives attorney-client privilege or professional confidentiality. We do not sell privileged client files or confidential client records for third-party marketing.

Electronic signatures and payment systems

When available, electronic-signature or payment services may collect account, authentication, device and transaction information under their own terms. Bank or card details may be processed directly by a payment provider rather than maintained by BOLO. Electronic-signature records and signed agreements may be retained as part of the relevant matter or business record.

Information security

We use reasonable administrative, physical and technological safeguards suitable to the circumstances, potentially including authentication, account permissions, vendor controls and secure transfer methods. No website, email, messaging platform, or cloud storage system can guarantee absolute security. If you believe a Firm-related communication has been misdirected, accessed improperly or compromised, notify us promptly using a known telephone number.

Retention and disposal

Information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for its purpose or as required or permitted by legal, ethical, accounting, professional recordkeeping, security and dispute-resolution obligations. Retention periods differ for unretained inquiries, conflicts records, client matters, invoices, web form submissions, logs, recordings and backup copies. No universal deletion period is promised. Information may be preserved when subject to a legal hold or another applicable duty.

We review correction or deletion requests where applicable, recognizing that professional duties, conflicts checks, privilege and recordkeeping obligations can limit removal. Backup copies may remain temporarily under normal restoration cycles.

Your preferences, requests and marketing choices

Depending on the information, your jurisdiction and applicable law, you may be able to request access, correction or deletion, obtain information about certain disclosures, withdraw an applicable consent, or opt out of certain commercial communications or covered targeted advertising. We may need to verify identity, and legal exceptions can apply.

Marketing emails will provide a lawful unsubscribe mechanism where required. Opting out of marketing does not itself stop essential legal, financial, safety or administrative correspondence. To request a privacy review, email boloughlin@bolohealthlaw.com with the subject “Privacy Inquiry,” or call 609-200-6677. Do not include unnecessary sensitive details in that first request.

Children, third-party sites and geographic reach

This website is directed primarily to adults, organizations and professionals seeking legal information. We do not knowingly solicit personal information directly from children under age 13. Matters involving a minor should be raised through an appropriate lawful representative, subject to applicable rules.

Links to other websites and services do not make BOLO responsible for those providers’ privacy practices. Information may be processed in the United States or other locations where our service providers operate, subject to law. Rights under state, federal or international privacy requirements will be addressed when they apply.

Changes and contact

We may revise this Policy as laws, service providers and practices change. Any revised public policy will state its effective date; we will provide additional notice when legally required.
